Just finished Mass Effect 2, and about to move on to 3! I'll catch up with the rest of the internet yet!
♥ JACOOOOB. It is my great regret that I was not able to romance you! Though idk my Shep and Jacob would've been an awful couple as she is still not over Kaiden OR Liara (/headcanon)
♥ Liked most of the cast in general. Unfortunately I got Legion and then immediately got him killed in the Relay, but idk I liked him. (I just liked Tali a bit better so I sided with her. Sorry, Legion!)
♥ Combat system and upgrades are really fun.
♥ The ending sequence in general was cool! I was playing completely blind, and I was really pleased to only have one loss (poor Legion, as mentioned above). I wish there had been even more customisability, honestly, in terms of picking roles for everyone to fulfil.
♥ I kinda want to play ME1 for Liara alone. She's so cute! ♥
♥ Jack is so annoying omg hate :/ Just ugh. Stop being such a brat to me for no reason. Wish she had fallen instead of Legion. Oh well.
♥ COVER WHY ARE YOU NOT WORKING OH MY GOD. It was mainly in one of the DLCs, where you rescue the scientist who turns out to be Reaper-controlled, but jfc I had so many deaths from The Arbitrary Cover Dance.
♥ I felt like some of the stories/characters weren't complete? idk. It was most present with sme of the characters from ME1, so perhaps it was that I came into their arcs late, but eh. It wasn't too bad or anything.
♥ In general, I really thought it would go a lot longer. It had great pacing and everything flowed really well and stuff - I guess it's a combination of mostly having played the DA games (I've played bits of KOTOR but never through), just coming off New Vegas and a couple of other marathon games, and the general fandom hype. THAT SAID, when I think about it, I really liked how the game did flow, so! Pretty notably, I never once felt like "argh this is dragging way too long" or "when is this game gonna end?".
On to Mass Effect 3 tomorrow! If it's of a similar length, hopefully I'll be able to burn through it in a couple of weeks. :)
